About Me
Culinary Beginnings & Creativity
I’m from Lima, Peru, one of the world’s top culinary destinations 👩🏻🍳❤️, where I began my professional journey in the Pastry and Bakery Arts world, where I discovered my creative spark, developed an eye for detail, and my absolute love for baking cakes and cookies, especially 😍.
Connecting Across Languages & Cultures
Since childhood, I’ve always been passionate about learning new languages. After spending some years working in Pastry, I transitioned into Customer Service roles for international companies where fluency in English was essential. Thanks to those experiences, I developed strong communication and problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of customer needs, and I learned that empathy and patience can bridge any language gap.
Discovering Marketing in Canada
In 2020, I took a short online Digital Marketing course that opened my eyes to a whole new world. I was instantly hooked! 🤩. That curiosity led me to pursue a Business Marketing Diploma in Canada, where I had the opportunity to develop new skills in graphic design, video marketing, social media strategy, and campaign development, as well as to learn about marketing foundations, advertising and sales.
Canadian Experience & Growth
Once I graduated, I started gaining Canadian work experience in customer service, which further strengthened my communication skills. Unlike my previous experience in this field, I was able to interact face-to-face with different kinds of customers by supporting them. This experience also helped me to grow in confidence and adaptability in a new country.
Community Impact at Stanley Park
At the same time, and until recently, I had the opportunity to volunteer as the Social Media Coordinator at the Stanley Park Community Centre. This was an amazing opportunity as I was able to express my creativity freely, without losing sight of my marketing perspective. Most importantly, I gained hands-on experience in a real community space where people from diverse cultures come together, so the communication needs to be community-focused, warm and clear. Here, I created digital content and designed visuals to promote the wide range of programmes they offer for different age groups, and supported their community events on social media to help the community connect with the centre.
Looking Ahead
I’m bilingual in English and Spanish and am currently learning French to further expand my ability to connect with diverse audiences.
I’m now excited to bring all my creativity, analytical thinking and hands-on experience to a new marketing role, collaborating on building powerful campaigns that connect with and inspire audiences while reflecting the brand’s unique identity.
